I treated myself to a quick trip to NYC last Friday to see the Irving Penn (1917-2009) retrospective at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Penn's iconic fashion studies, compelling portraits of urban laborers and people from around the globe, gorgeous still lifes and nudes are testimony to his genius. An innovative master of composition, gesture and technique, with a gift for storytelling — I was inspired on many levels! Here are a few random photos from the exhibit.
